Some new features

Hot on the heels of the redesigned website, we’ve added two small new additions to the Diary.

The old weight change widget in the sidebar is no longer just a boring number — but a weight graph:

And for gold subscribers, we’ve added an option to show the total calories for each group in your diary:

This is awesome! I've been waiting for something like this. It seems like it would have a bigger impact in the mobile app since there's no way to select a "group" or multiple foods there. Would you be able to implement this there? I find that I sometimes log into the mobile website just to determine the calories for a given meal/"group".

  • When are you going to add these and other features to the iPad app? Seriously, its kind of a waste of money when there are better free apps out there.

  • I was wondering where the feature is where you can set a target for weight loss? I used to be able to set a target of 1 or 2 pounds per week and I think it used to be in Profile. Is this feature still available?

  • Hi'all,

I wonder if you could help me with some info on the Weight Change widget.

I've been keeping my calorie intake between 1200 and 1500 and also exercising. I'm eating a mainly healthy vegan diet with just 100 grams of mackerel a week, transitioning from a former diet rich in animal products.

I think the widget is malfunctioning, it is showing a weight gain by almost 1 kg, which never happened in real life. I've been taking my measurements and I'm definitely slimming down. Also, I've started the calculations since a week ago, there is absolutely no way that I'd be gaining muscle mass in such a short time.

There is always a caloric deficit in the cronometer, so where did that 1 extra kg show up from?

Should I ignore it? I wonder if there is some kind of setting that I could tweak...
