In addition to releasing a <a href=\"https:\/\/cronometer.com\/blog\/introducing-mens-health-nutrition-score\/\">men&#8217;s health Nutrition Score<\/a>\u00a0to all free users for the month, we&#8217;ll be uncovering some key nutrition considerations for males to keep in mind.<\/p><p>For this blog in particular, we&#8217;ll be talking all about vitamin A, which many men aren&#8217;t getting enough of in their diets.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2209d64 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2209d64\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">The Function Of Vitamin A<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b7d6a7d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b7d6a7d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Vitamin A (retinol) is needed to see at night and it helps your immune defence by creating immune cells and maintaining a physical barrier to pathogens by replenishing your skin and intestinal cells. Vitamin A is a fat-soluble nutrient that is an antioxidant, meaning it protects your cells from damage from oxygen free radicals that are made when your cells metabolize oxygen.\u00a0<\/p><p>Vitamin A plays a role in determining what type of tissue each of your cells become, so it is especially important during embryonic development.\u00a0Vitamin A also stimulates the production and activity of white blood cells, takes part in remodeling bone, helps maintain healthy endothelial cells (those lining the body\u2019s interior surfaces), and regulates cell growth and division such as needed for reproduction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-cdcc568 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"cdcc568\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Vitamin A &amp; Your Diet<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-61df17d elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"61df17d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>It is recommended that men get more vitamin A per day compared to females (900 micrograms vs. 700).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Vitamin A is found in different forms from plant and animal sources. Vitamin A from animal sources is ready to use by your body.
