Senior Software Developer

Senior Software Developer

We are on the hunt for an experienced full stack developer.

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our web and mobile applications. This requires both excellent server-side programming skills (Java, SQL, AWS) as well as great front-end UI development skills (HTML/CSS, Javascript, iOS, Android).


  • BSc. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Previous experience developing web, mobile web, applications
  • Experience with Java, Javascript, SQL, HTML/CSS, DevOps
  • Experience with version control (git, hg, etc.)
  • Ability to help lead a team and mentor junior developers.

Bonus Skills:

  • Interest or knowledge in nutrition and fitness
  • Experience writing web applications in GWT
  • Experience writing mobile applications in Flutter
  • Experience building slick user interfaces
  • Machine Learning / Deep Learning skills

Cronometer is looking for a full-time member of our Customer Support Team (CST) in stunning Revelstoke, Canada. Our team exists to build the world’s best software for people and professionals to manage their nutrition and optimize their health. What you’ll be doing:

  • Coaching users on how to get the most from the Cronometer website and mobile app.
  • Answering questions via email, chat, community forums and postcard (it’s happened).
  • Communicating with users to authenticate accounts and identify bugs.
  • Using your super sleuthing skills to identify and troubleshoot issues with users.
  • Collaborating and problem solving with folks in our Quality Assurance and Dev Teams.
  • Sharing your ideas and being the voice of the customer in new feature design sessions.
  • Publishing your product expertise in our user manuals and internal knowledge base.

What would this role look & feel like:

Reporting to the Customer Support Manager, Customer Support is a tight-knit team responsible for delivering an excellent experience for Cronometer users. As a Customer Support Associate, you will have the opportunity to inspire confidence and spark brand loyalty in our users.

You will become a product specialist and educate customers about using Cronometer on our web and mobile platforms. Pair that with your knowledge of customer concerns and priorities to inform improvements to our software. Use your solutions-focused approach to collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to troubleshoot user-reported bugs. Your resilient, positive attitude and a sense of ownership and pride in your performance will help our CS team maintain our glowing reputation as we rapidly expand our user-base.
