Hi! I'm Elena, a registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) or as I like to say, a food and nutrition specialist who is passionate about empowering people to live a healthier life.
I believe that healthy eating habits are best achieved through a combination of nutrition knowledge and confidence in the kitchen.
I offer nutrition consultations and hands-on cooking classes for both children and adults in the Seattle, Washington area. As a working mom of two girls with probably one too many hobbies I understand the struggle all too well of not finding enough time to prepare your own food. That is why I always strive to keep things as simple and approachable as possible in my own life and with my clients. I serve people with all different types of diets, but one of my specialties is helping even meat-lovers find more joy in plant-based meals that are nutritious and delicious.
My goal as your nutrition coach is to translate nutrition advice into practical application to help you and your family live a healthier life.
My path to a career of helping people started over 15 years ago when I was working as a massage therapist in Santa Monica, California while supporting myself through college. My passion for improving the health and well-being of others and my interest in chemistry and other sciences eventually lead me to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition, Food Science, and Dietetics from California State University of Northridge. I continued to dive deeper into the field of Nutrition and earned my Master's degree in Nutrition Sciences from the University of Washington. During my graduate program, I started working for the Women, Infants, and Children Program (WIC), a federal assistance program where I gained a lot of knowledge about pediatric and pre- and postnatal nutrition.
