My name is Daniel Lawson and I am originally from Central Wisconsin, where I earned a bachelor's degree in Exercise Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse in 2016. In 2018, I decided to pursue my Master’s degree in Strength & Conditioning at Lagrange College, GA. During my 2 years at Lagrange College I was able to work with a variety of team sports, as well as functioning as the Head Strength Coach for Men’s and Women’s basketball. My Master’s thesis work investigated lactate’s role as a potential signaling molecule for hypertrophy. I have been coaching many individuals remotely since the creation of my company Infinite Adaptation in 2017. I believe it is important for a coach to practice what they preach, and I have competed in the sport of powerlifting since 2015. In 2018, I competed at the USAPL Raw Nationals in Spokane, WA at the 93 kg weight class. In 2019, I decided to pursue two goals: join the military (Army National Guard) in pursuit to become an officer and qualify for the USAPL 2019 Raw Nationals at 83 kg. I accomplished the first goal, as I dropped almost 30 lbs. (~210 lbs. to ~179 lbs.) to compete at 83 kg at the Georgia Spring Open in Savana, GA. I won my weight class and had a qualifying total of 652.5 kg/1435.5 lbs. for Nationals. As for my other goal, I am set to commission as a 2nd Lieutenant in the summer of 2021. I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Oklahoma State University while simultaneously undergoing Traditional OCS through the state of Georgia. I plan to allocate my time during my doctoral degree pursuing tactical research with the military and investigating adaptations to training. I am driven by my passion for strength and conditioning and helping others achieve their goals.
