Mike thrives on seeing others succeed and has always worked to help people achieve their goals. He especially enjoys listening to other's stories, working with them to overcome their challenges, and helping them realize their full potential. He has done this for decades as a business leader and while helping friends and family overcome their difficulties with weight management.
In 2018, Mike decided to move beyond nutrition and fitness as personal hobbies by formalizing his knowledge of these subjects with a master's degree in human performance and nutrition at Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. In June of 2020, he completed all required coursework and labs with a GPA of 4.0, which will allow his degree to be conferred in December 2020. In addition to two years of traditional coursework focused on several facets of nutrition, physiology, chronic disease, and eating disorders, Mike has completed 80 hours of hands-on labs and a 250-hour internship requiring Mike to demonstrate his understanding of how various diets and eating patterns effect our bodies. Those experiences, coupled with his certification as a nutrition coach from the National Academy of Sports Science (NASM-CNC), have equipped Mike to help a wide range of people struggling with non-medical weight management and/or performance optimization.
