A longtime martial artist and athlete, Karyn (Kaz) Borscheid launched Sweat Equity Wellness in 2020 with a mission to remove physical, emotional, or financial barriers to personal wellness. She believes that deep health should be accessible to everyBODY and trainers and coaches should see people as they are, truly listen, and help with their very individualized needs without judgment or assumptions. Though her clients run the gamut, her focus is on groups who aren't traditionally seen/recognized in the fitness realm - older adults, transgender, gender-expansive, and disabled populations - increasing awareness and support, normalizing and celebrating differences, and creating safe, inclusive and equitable training spaces, online and off. Her whole person approach enhances physical training with emotional and nutritional support. She provides people with the tools they need to live happy and healthy lives of their own choosing, bringing the FUN back into functional movement.
