Kevin attended University of Florida and earned a B.S. Accounting in 1988 and subsequently returned to University of Florida and earned an MBA in 1995.
In 2014, Kevin pivoted on his career and purchased Anastasia Fitness with his wife Marcy. This purchase may appear disconnected from his career path, in reality it is a natural step. By owning Anastasia Fitness, Kevin could now put all the pieces together and pursue the ultimate purpose of Coaching, to help athletes and adults reach their potential in life and sport.
Since 2014, Kevin has earned the following professional certifications, American College of Sports Medicine-Certified Personal Trainer, National Strength and Conditioning Association – Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, StrongFirst – Kettlebell SFG Level 1 and Functional Movement Screen – Level 1. He has attended multiple conferences related to health and fitness including the Metabolic Health Summit in Jan 2019. He is a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Owning a gym satisfied the coaching needs for Kevin and it opened up a curiosity regarding the current state of health of our community. As a former CPA, Kevin is very conscious of business costs and problem solving. This natural intuition led to questioning why we keep getting fatter, sicker, costs keep going up and the same people responsible for correcting this trend remain employed or accepted as experts on the topic. After studying the current situation, reflecting on his experience with 450 employees in a former company he ran and working with clients individually to solve their overfat conditions, Kevin is now convinced the health/medical/insurance establishment needs to listen to new voices and ideas that Kevin is raising as are others to reverse a huge lifestyle and financial drain on our society.
