I have a PhD in Nutritional Science and am a registered and licence dietitian in the state of Florida. I have worked in weight management, vegetarian nutrition, sports nutrition, diabetes management, gastrointestinal nutrition, pregnancy nutrition and food allergies/intolerance. I have learned academically, practically and personally. I have celiac disease with several food sensitivities, now eating gluten free and pescotarian. I have been challenged by both underweight and over weight, have had an 80 hour a week job living on all prepared foods and have spent hours in the kitchen cooking from scratch. I am a runner and strength trainer, am a personal trainer, and race several times a year on road, trail and in obstacle course racing. I love the outdoors, my dogs, cats, horses and fish and my life-mate and training partner. I believe in evidence based medicine, lifestyle medicine, holistic care and personalized intervention.
