Lisa Bunce holds a master’s degree in Medical Biology and Nutritional Sciences from Long Island University/CW Post. She currently is an Adjunct Professor for the Doctorate of Clinical Nutrition, part of the Egan School of Nursing at Fairfield University, she is also an Adjunct Professor in the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University and at Norwalk Community College in their Biology Department. A Registered Dietitian and Nutrition Consultant for many Fortune 500 companies, Ms. Bunce is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, the Connecticut Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, and Dietitians in Integrated and Functional Medicine. She is past Public Relations and Marketing Director for the Nutrition Entrepreneurs, a national practice group of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has completed the FODMAP certification through Monash University. Lisa Bunce has also written extensively in the areas of nutrition, health and fitness for both professional and consumer publications, including the New England Journal of Medicine and in the past has been a regular contributor to FIRST for Women’s magazine. She has held many advisory board positions and was a regular contributor to Dietitians Edge Magazine. A recipient of the Connecticut’s Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year award and past media representative for the state. Ms. Bunce is also owner of Back to Basics Nutrition Consulting a Redding based nutrition consulting and counseling firm and developer of MyLilCoach, an iPhone application designed for behavior change and compliance of healthy behaviors.
