Now focusing on her own nutrition consulting clinic, Megan previously held a senior position with a leading lipoedema organisation in the US in addition to serving on their medical advisory board. She has presented on dietary lifestyle management for lipoedema at numerous national & international conferences in Sydney, New York, Boston and Italy, and co-authored the 2019 research paper titled ‘Ketogenic diet as a potential intervention for lipedema’ published in the peer-reviewed medical journal ‘Medical Hypotheses’. Megan is the founder of I Choose Health, a global online nutrition clinic specifically dedicated to women with lipoedema. In 2019 Megan discovered she has lipoedema and in 2020 was diagnosed with breast cancer. After chemo and double mastectomies, she is now cancer free and is passionate about helping women to understand how dietary and lifestyle changes can benefit many of the common symptoms associated with lipoedema. With a focus on improving health minus the blame & shame approach experienced by many lippy ladies, an evidence-based and holistic approach leads to Megan’s health motto - “Eat Food That Loves You Back”.
