Dr. Andersson’s original training and licensure is as a doctor of chiropractic, she attended New York Chiropractic College, University of North Dakota Medical School and earned her doctorate at Sherman College of Chiropractic. She has since had additional certification, advanced education and training in nutrition and functional medicine. Received certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine and did genetic studies at Bastyr University. She has been in practice for 25 years.
She teaches monthly classes, and has ongoing support groups for patients to help them with diet and life style changes. These groups meet nearly every week to share experiences, recipes, challenges and successes.
She has experience with and focuses on autoimmune disorders, such as: Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Psoriasis, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Spectrum disorders, Crohn’s disease, as well as hormonal imbalances (such as PCOS and infertility), overall GI complaints, methylation, genetic analysis, pre and postnatal nutrition, diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and overall natural functional medicine. She has a patient-centered office that has an onsite phlebotomist and lab to make testing easier and more convenient for her patients. The clinic also offers massage therapy, acupuncture, and colon hydrotherapy.
Primarily her mission is education. No one can heal someone else. A doctor does not heal, a doctor teaches, guides, advises and the individual heals themselves with life-style, diet, and emotional-physical-spiritual balance.
Dr. Andersson’s primary focus is on the patient. She does testing and exhaustive research when necessary, to discover the root cause of the disorder, so that the patient can be treated properly. And she spends a lot of time with her patients to develop relationships that are most conducive to healing, positive life changes and optimum wellness.
