My work at The Blackberry Herbarium is about walking along side my clients, as a cheerleader, sounding board, resource and guide, while they nurture their own self-empowered wellness, with education, herbal support, nutritional knowledge, recipes, space-making and lifestyle recommendations. I am devoted to helping others see and explore the foods and plant medicines that are native, naturalized or cultivated in this region, both to restore balance in their bodies, and as a means of reconnecting to nature. I first began my clinical herbalism studies with Kat Maier and Heather Wetzel at Sacred Plant Traditions in Charlottesville, Virginia, in 2017. Currently, I am continuing my studies as a Master's student in Clinical Nutrition at Sonoran University, which also includes biochemistry, pathophysiology, botany, phytochemistry, and 1,000 clinical hours. My areas of interest include nutrition, herbs and movement therapies for neurological diseases, like Parkinson's Disease and Dysautonomia (POTS); adolescent + teen nutrition; herbs and practices for stress reduction and trauma support; and everyday food and herbs for modern living and vitality. I am a proud co-founder of CYANWOOD Community, a YACEP member of Yoga Alliance, and a supporter of United Plant Savers.
