Get to Know Your Nutrition: A Look at Cronometer’s Nutrition Report

Recent Cronometer research has indicated that up to 85% of our users aren’t taking advantage of our Nutrition Report functionality – 🤯.

Tracking your food is only the first step. To understand how your diet supports your health goals, you need clear, meaningful insight, and that’s where our Nutrition Report comes in.

Available on both web and mobile, the Nutrition Report and the Daily Report pull together the data from your Diary and turn it into actionable insights. It’s an easy way to spot patterns, check your nutrient intake, and make adjustments without digging through raw data.

What Is The Nutrition Report?

The Nutrition Report gives you a comprehensive overview of your dietary intake across a specific time period. From macronutrients and micronutrients to energy balance, it helps you assess how well your eating habits align with your goals.

If you’re tracking to lose weight, improve performance, or manage a specific health condition, the report helps you stay focused and informed.

Cronometer Basic users can see the average intake of nutrients over seven days. Gold subscribers, however, are able to view their data over any date range.

Since not many people are eating the same thing every day – variety is the spice of life – this is super helpful in identifying trends in your nutrition intake. You may eat tons of vitamin E one day, but not so much the rest of the week so take a look occasionally to see how you’re stacking up over a longer time frame.

Access this by tapping on Report from the Discover Tab or Trends > Nutrition Report from the web app.

Where To Find It

To access the Nutrition Report on mobile, tap on Report from the Discover Tab or Trends > Nutrition Report from the web app.

Customize Your Report

No two users eat the same way, and your report can reflect that. Cronometer gives you several ways to tailor the data:

Choose a Time Frame: Want to see how your week’s going? Curious about a month-long challenge? Gold subscribers can set custom time ranges, while basic users can view up to one week before today.

Pick Which Days to Include: Control the accuracy of your report by choosing:

  • All Days – Includes everything.
  • Non-Empty Days – Excludes blank days.
  • Complete Days – This shows only the days you’ve fully logged and marked as complete in your diary.

Pro tip: Mark days as complete for the cleanest, most accurate report.

Decide Whether to Include Today: If you haven’t finished logging today’s meals, it’s a good idea to leave them out of the report so your averages stay accurate.

Include (or Exclude) Supplements: Want to focus solely on your food intake? Uncheck ‘Include Supplements’ to see how your diet stacks up without additional nutrients from vitamins or pills.

The Daily Report

Your Daily Report, as its name suggests, is a summary of all your macro and micronutrient intake for that day.

Where To Find It

On the mobile app, go to your Diary, tap the three-dot icon in the top right, and select Daily Report. You can also get to your Daily Report by tapping on the Energy Summary circles at the top of your Diary screen, and tap ‘View Daily Report’.

On the web app, your Daily Report is shown below your Diary.

The Report Summary

The Report Summary on the Dashboard is your go-to for a quick, customizable snapshot of how your nutrition stacks up over time. Whether you’re keeping an eye on your macros, tracking your nutrient intake, or monitoring overall energy expenditure, this feature helps you visualize your target averages.

Tap edit in the top left of the widget to customize your date range and choose which data to display. Cronometer Gold users can unlock extended date ranges beyond 7 days, plus access to Highlighted Nutrients and Nutrition Scores for deeper insights. To upgrade to Cronometer Gold tap here
