Cronometer’s New Look!

Welcome to Cronometer 3.0! 

We are excited to announce a major update to our mobile app! We have rebuilt the entire app from scratch in a new framework that will have a ton of benefits now and in the future. Here are a few that you will see as soon as you update: 

Improved performance and stability:  

In the past you may have encountered crashes and slower loading times. With the adoption of this new framework, and some rewrites in the mix, we have resolved most of these. If you encounter any problems be sure to send an email to support@cronometer.com so that we can address the issue. 

A new look to match our recently updated website: 

You may have noticed that we cleaned up the look of our website a couple of months ago. If you haven’t already, check it out

This update features a clean design, and more customizable views on the diary header. This will keep you focused on the targets that matter to you! Excited to to see the new look? Click here!

Streamlined design: 

You can now find all the settings options in the new Settings tab which will replace the old Profile tab. You can learn more about this by checking out the update on our web version. Any settings you can find on the website, you can now also find on the mobile app! 

An updated, easy to use custom food editor with a Nutrition Label Reader: 

We can now read nutrition labels so you don’t have to enter information yourself! Our developers (aka wizards) built a nifty label reader that will scan the label, and enter the data for you. You’ll see this reader in action when you scan the barcode of a product that wasn’t already in our database. It’s magic! Want to demo? Click here!

Multi-add food to your diary 

Customers on iOS already have it – we hope you’re loving it! If you have an Android phone, this will be a nice new feature for you! To multi-add items to your diary, turn the feature on in the Settings Tab. Go to Settings > Diary Settings > Always multi-add foods to diary. 

With rewriting the app, this means it will be easier for our developers to make updates. Which means that the features you request will be available to you sooner.

If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen the update to the new look yet it’s because we are slowly rolling out the new version in order to make sure we have time to catch and respond to any critical bugs before it’s available to everyone. You’ll automatically get the update at some point as we go through this roll out process.
