How To Track Your Stool In Cronometer

Yes, you heard us correctly; we track stool. ๐Ÿ’ฉ After sitting on it for hours – “it” being how to word this blog as opposed to the toilet, we’ve decided to simply call it like it is.

We had jokes: “Poop jokes aren’t our favourite kind of jokes, but they are a solid #2.”

We had puns: “You can’t talk about food without poop coming out eventually!”

But ultimately, we decided a straight shot was best.

Why Stool Tracking Is Important

Why would you do this, you ask? You can actually glean a lot about your health from both the colour and the consistency of your excrement. If digestion isn’t your strong suit, it means your body isn’t operating at its finest, which can often be fixed with just a few tweaks.ย

The Bristol Stool Scale will give you a rank from 1 to 7 in which you can classify your movement. 1 being severe constipation and 7 being severe diarrhea.

If you find yourself struggling on the extremities of the scale more often than not, try changing things in your diet. You may not be drinking enough water or eating enough fiber and tracking can help identify any potential food allergies or sensitivities.

How It's Done

Add a biometric as normal on either the web or mobile app. Search and select ‘stool’ and select which type on the Bristol Stool Scale your poo fits into.ย  Then add it to your diary.

ย

You can track your stool in a Chart using our default Charts on the web or mobile app. On mobile, from your Discover tab, click Charts at the top of the screen. On the web app, select Trends > Charts.

Gold users will also be able to set up a Custom Chart to plot poop trends against specific nutrients or other biometrics like energy level.ย
