An Interview With Cronometer Power User, Paul

Paul first caught our eye on Instagram when he made a story layering a plethora of Cronometer charts together. As huge data nerds we were super impressed – we love seeing people using the tools available within the app for success!

Since then, we’ve been cheering on Paul throughout his fitness journey – he’s lost over 60 pounds! Which is why we were so thrilled when he agreed to be this week’s Feature Friday! Check out the interview below.

How Did You Learn About Cronometer?

My PT, friend and colleague, Daine Finch, suggested I start using it to track my nutrition and manufacture a calorie deficit. I was completely new to macros, but Cronometer made it easy to get used to with Daine’s initial input!

What Is Your Favourite Cronometer Feature?

Custom Recipes! I love using my slow cooker to meal prep and being able to add the ingredients in bulk and see the protein, fat and carb content per meal as I do makes it so easy to get to the right mix! Plus, they’re saved after, so if you want to make it again, you just have to use the same weight of ingredients.

Tell Us About Your Diet

I aim for a calorie deficit of around 1,000 calories per day, plus 200g of protein, 190-250g carbs and up to 60g fat.

Being able to accurately log exercise in Cronometer means I can easily make meal decisions and achieve the intended macros. I enjoy lots of lean meat and fish, rice, lentils and green vegetables, with a few protein bars and shakes thrown in for good measure! Overnight oats using almond milk has become a yummy favourite too!
